The Lab

The Mobility Lab Twente addresses the design, development, production, promotion, and introduction of e‑mobility solutions. Our main activities concern:

  1. Research and development – Projects for and with industry, governments, and other institutions
  2. Education – Projects and courses for industry and students.
  3. Promotion of mobility.

Before introducing ourselves and our competences, please find here some introductory words to our fields of research.

Ever since the concept of auto mobility was invented, electric driving has been considered. The (relatively) easy access to fossil fuels and their high energy density, however, accelerated the use of combustion engines over electric motors, maybe with the only exception of rail-roads on which we see both. In the last one or two decades, electric driving has made its re-appearance – and this time it is here to stay.
